Odd things happen. Allow me to present an odd thing that happened to me yesterday morning as I was on my way to get Alex for school. You should know that my trucks screen has been acting crazy for a week or two. The screen will at times show the normal things such as the radio station that I am listening to or the phone number of the person I am talking to. This screen will also show the view from my back up camera.
Yesterday morning as I was driving, I noticed the screen acting crazy, there were names of people who were on my phone being scanned from top to bottom of the screen. Now this screen has done that in the past, but it was scanning the radio channels not phone info. The screen stopped scanning, and a name appeared on the screen and the phone number was being called. I had trouble getting the phone out of my back pocket because I was driving. I was able to stop the call, but it had already rung the phone number a few times. Then the screen began scanning again and it stopped on another name and called it. The number was ringing when I stopped it again, then it rang another number, and I pulled into a side street and shut my phone off.
I proceeded to get Alex and take him to school. When I activated the phone again, I had a text message from the first number wanting to know if everything was ok. I also received a call from the second phone number asking if I had called. The third person did not respond.
I now have an appointment to take the truck to the dealer next week and see if it can be fixed.
Let's stay with odd for a minute, as Alex and I were heading to school yesterday morning the sun was starting to come up. When I turned a corner, the sun was shining in my mirror. I said to Alex, "they use to have a lever on these mirrors that would allow you to reduce the amount of light shining in your eyes by 90%, I don't know why this mirror doesn't have a lever". Then I felt of the bottom of the mirror and then the back and I found the lever on the back of the mirror. Now I have owned this truck since 2016, that is 9 years, and I just learned where the lever is.
Different topic: Tres and I got a cup of coffee, and we went to the front porch to enjoy the coffee and cool air. As we sat there, I observed a shadow of a Hawk or Buzard flying over. The shadow was large and was moving slowly as it passed over. There was no wind at that time, this shadow circled around at least three times, and I began to wonder why. The shadow was gone for several minutes and then it was back. It only passed over once again, then it was gone.
I heard some crows off in the distance, they seemed to be having a good time at whatever they were doing, they were noisy.
Yesterday's events: my favorite wife and I did go out for supper, and it was good, we returned home before heading to the school where we enjoyed the orchestra and the movie. Now the movie was an old-time scarry movie that was originally in Spanish. Someone had changed the language to English, and the wording made the movie funny. The orchestra provided music throughout the movie. It was very odd and funny.
My plans for today are to get Alex and bring him over to do some work. We want to put the potted plants into the hot house and if the front yard is dry enough, he will mow and vacuum it.
