It did not get above freezing yesterday. We did have freezing rain and sleet through the day. The street in front of the Homestead was covered in ice, but I have seen a couple vehicles drive up or down the street without any problems. That does not mean it wasn’t slick. Our side walk and driveway were both covered. The Ford’s ole Chevy is again covered in ice. I have procured a photo of a situation, which is unusual here at the Ford Homestead.
As in Christmas Story, we have icicles hanging from the house, but so far one has not fell on me causing injury.
Today, is Friday; for that one person who don’t know what day it is, that may be me, it is the day that we are supposed to not have any bad weather, other than cold weather.
The bad weather is coming Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The prognosticators have been saying we could get snow that may measure from 3 to 7 inches, depending on which channel you watch.
They are also saying we may have the coldest high temp for a whole day ever, next Tuesday.
Tres and I went out to get the newspaper this morning, Tres slipped on the side walk, I walked through frozen Jasmin and stayed off the side walk. The walk is still frozen but a lot of the driveway has cleared off.
The local school system is shut down today. We are supposed to get the snow Sunday late and Monday. I bet school will be out on Monday too.
My favorite wife and I are supposed to get our first anti-virus shot today, lets hope they do not cancel due to weather. They did cancel a bunch of the virus shots yesterday due to weather.
Herd immunity, get the shot!
Senior retired person who will attempt to be part of the herd, Don the Ford
