Wow, we made it through another year. I have been around for 78 new year events. As I am writing this it is still December 31, 2025, about 6:30pm. I have had two adult beverages this afternoon and I have cooked a Pizza which we enjoyed for our supper.
I have a bag of black-eyed peas to cook for New Year's Day. These peas should be eaten for good luck in 2026, but we do not have any pork to put in the peas so there will not be any nice flavor.
We went to the doctor yesterday and did not find anything new. They have asked her to restart a ole prescription.
After the doctor's visit we went to the Star Coffee Place and we ordered two coffees, one medium and one small. The small cup turned out to be hot chocolate, not decaf coffee. We have ordered a small transfer chair. It should be small enough to get through the bathroom door which will help my favorite wife to have access to it. It was recommended and will work like a wheelchair. They say it is not as heavy as a wheelchair and it can be placed easily in a vehicle. We hope this provides the needed easy access through the house.
Back at home we had lunch and rested for a while then later we went outside and enjoyed the nice warm weather. The neighborhood was kind of noisy as people were driving up and down the street and there were some people mowing. We did not see any drones while outside.
Back in the house a friend dropped by and visited for a while. We did not stay up until midnight just to see the new year arrive as we use to do in the olden days.
Last night there were fireworks going off close enough that we could hear them. These fireworks started just after dark. Tres does not like fireworks, so he was not a happy camper. I activated Alexa to make sounds of rain (aka white noise) to help drown out some of the firework's noise.
This morning, we went through the exercises that my favorite wife needs to do, and I went to the Star coffee place and procured a cup of real coffee. Going to the star coffee place to get a cup helps me to relax for a few minutes.
I guess I should stop and wish you a Happy New Year. We hope you have the best year of your life.
