Face mask and gloves 04/04/2020

My spouse, who will have been putting up with me for 51 years as of tomorrow, wanted to go to the grocery store yesterday, and since her vehicle is not in optimum condition, I offered to drive her to the store. I stayed in the Ford’s ole Chevy and she went into the store.

As I was sitting there I noticed a female subject exit her vehicle. This subject had a mask and gloves on. As she was walking toward the store she was messing with her mask and rubbing her nose, things one should not due. She entered the store and procured a cart. I was not able to observe her shopping.

Later she came out of the building pushing a cart. The subject went to her vehicle and unloaded the cart, then returned the cart into the store. I continued the observation of the subject, as she returned to her vehicle. Entering the vehicle she held onto the steering wheel and she fastened the seat belt. Then she removed the mask and the gloves dropping them on the seat next to her. Without sanitizing anything like the door handle, keys, or the steering wheel she started the vehicle and left the scene.

Wearing a mask and gloves does no good if you don’t understand contamination. If she had the virus on the gloves or mask she now had the virus on her steering wheel, her body, vehicle parts, and likely the food products.

If you are going to wear a mask, wash your hands before touching the mask. Put the mask on with clean hands. If you plan on using the mask a second time, don’t touch the mask again without washing your hands again.

Know how to use protective items before you use them.

I would like to go to the harbor store and get some cheap paint brushes, but I don’t want to associate. I personally have not been in any store for the last two weeks. We need a battery but the Wally world auto area is closed, and the battery we have, come from them and has a warrantee. Warrantee isn’t much good when they are closed.

Understand how to use protection, before you use it!
